Bright future for Ryan Couture after defeat of KJ Noons

There is NO doubt about Ryan Couture as an elite MMA fighter that holds his own winning four in a row and his professional MMA record is now 6-1. The future is looking very bright indeed for Couture.

Part of his success is backed by an amazing group of coaches at Xtreme Couture like (Neil Melanson – Head Grappling Coach, Dennis Davis – Pro Team & MMA Coach, Tim Lane – Striking Coach and Jake Bonacci – Strength & Conditioning Coach).
Ryan controlled the pace of the fight all 3 rounds with good movement, quick hands and even a spinning back kick planted to the chest of Noons in the first. The only chance Noons seemed to have in this fight was in the second, but the conditioning and the Couture inside was not going to be stopped. Ryan finished the fight in a very active and aggressive pace with knees to KJs ribs and excellent striking that made round 3 easily Couture’s.

Jay Hieron’s Return to the UFC (UFC on FX 5)

In just two days Jay Hieron will lock horns with Jake Ellenberger making his return to the UFC for the first time in seven years.
Hieron last fought Jonathan Goulet in October 2005 when he lost to TKO due to cut.  This bloodied UFC mat has been on permanent display inside Xtreme Couture MMA right when you walk in.

Randy Couture Announces – 3 Day Camp in September

			There will be  3 days of instruction focusing on Submission Grappling, Striking, Muay Thai and Wrestling as  they apply to MMA. Randy will talk to the group about mental skills, nutrition as well as an             autograph signing and photo session on  Sunday to wrap up the  camp. All sessions will be followed by a Q&A session. Spectators are not allowed to watch, film or take photos during the camp. The Xtreme Camp is open to people of all skill levels ages 15 and up.

LAS VEGAS - Randy Couture has unveiled a new Xtreme Couture MMA Affiliate Program. Now for the first time existing gyms and training centers, no matter the size or location, have the opportunity to partner with a major brand get marketing muscle and best of all gain valuable training support and structure.

The XC Affiliate Program is Randy Couture’s concept to continue to expand his proven MMA fighting style, coaching methodology, conditioning programs and nutritional philosophy to existing gyms and training centers. In turn these new affiliates will pass this on to their clientele.

“The Natural” is back fighting in the UFC

John  “The Natural” Alessio, an Xtreme Couture fighter,  is set to return to the UFC after more than a five-year absense from the world’s largest MMA promotion. Alessio will replace injured Matt Wiman against Mark Bocek on the main card of UFC 145 in Atlanta April 21. The event will be headlined by a light-heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans.

A 14-year MMA veteran, Alessio has only made three UFC appearances over the course of his career.

At UFC 26 on June 9, 2000, he lost via submission to then-welterweight champion Pat Miletich. Alessio wouldn’t return until almost six years later, when he dropped a close unanimous decision to Diego Sanchez at UFC 60. His last octagon appearance saw him lose a unanimous decision to Thiago Alves at UFC The Final Chapter on Oct. 10, 2006.

Alessio is currently riding a three-fight win streak and has been victorious in ten of his last 11 bouts.
