Remember those Presidential Fitness tests you took in High School? The ones where you had to run a mile, do a bunch of sit-ups in a minute, do as many pull-ups as you could and then stretch past your toes? If you passed each event you were awarded a certificate signed by the President. The government just released a new version of the tests for adults. The events are a 1-mile run (or a 1.5-mile walk), as many half situps as you can do in a minute, doing push-ups to failure (as many as you can until you can’t do any more) and the old stretching past your toes routine. For more on the test and to chart your results click here.
So, how fit are you? Post your results in the comments section and we’ll see who is in shape and who needs to be in the gym more often.
