Deal brings “The Bully” into the Everlast family as a new face in their MMA product and marketing campaign
New York, NY – March 16, 2009 – Everlast is proud to announce the signing of Gray “The Bully” Maynard to an exclusive deal that will feature him in Everlast’s 2009 MMA advertising and marketing campaign. As part of the agreement, Maynard will become an official Everlast MMA spokesperson across all Print Advertising, Visual Merchandising, Digital Marketing and Direct Marketing for the 99 year old fight sports brand. Additionally, Maynard will fight exclusively in Everlast Omnistrike Fight Trunks.

Maynard, an avid boxing fan, competes as an MMA fighter in the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s lightweight division, posting an unbeaten record of 9-0-1 in his professional MMA bouts. He wrestled at Michigan State University from 1999-2003, and was a three-time All-American in the sport. His nickname, “The Bully,” stems from his bull terrier, Hank, who is relentless in his pursuit of bullying any other dogs that come in his path. The name stuck because of Maynard’s work ethic and aggressiveness in the practice room and in competition.
Maynard resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he trains alongside fellow Everlast endorser Randy Couture at his Xtreme Couture Gym.
