Duane ‘Bang’ Ludwig has been forced out of his fight with Xtreme Couture fighter Amir Sadollah due to a sternum injury suffered during training camp. Former ‘Ultimate Fighter’ winner, James Wilks steps in with just three weeks remaining until fight night. UFC Fight Night 24 takes place on March 26th at the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. The event is headlined by Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Phil Davis in a light heavyweight tilt.

James Wilks became the ninth winner of the ‘Ultimate Fighter’ reality show after defeating DeMarques Johnson in impressive fashion with a first round rear naked choke. He has since lost two out of his last three fights, including defeats against Matt Brown and Claude Patrick. Wilks last victory came against Peter Sobotta at UFC 115 in June of last year.

Amir Sadollah made his first official mixed martial arts fight back in June of 2008 when he earned a first round armbar victory over CB Dollaway to become the seventh winner of the ‘Ultimate Fighter’. After that fight, Sadollah dropped to welterweight and has gone 3-2 in the division. He suffered a tough loss against Dong Hyun-Kim at UFC 114, but came back at UFC 122 to dominate Peter Sobotta.

Amir Sadollah, Evan Dunham and Gray Maynard all had exciting fights that all ended in their favor. It’s how all fighters want to start off the new year with a “W” under their belt.

Amir Sadollah  had a very solid performance and dominated Brad Blackburn for 3 rounds giving him a unanimous decision.

Evan Dunham increased his perfect record by practically ripping off Efrain Escudero’s Arm in the 3rd , Evan took Escudero’s back and transitioned from a triangle attempt to an armbar giving him a win by Arm Lock Submission and the submission of the night award.

Gray Maynard wins a split decision of Nate Diaz keeping the Bully’s record perfect and possibly setting up a title shot against BJ Penn.  Maynard said when speaking with Sherdog “If they want me, I’m here for them,” Maynard went on to say  “UFC, if you want me to do it, let’s fight.”

Xtreme Couture Fighters Forrest Griffin and Amir Sadollah both had an epic battle inside the cage this past Saturday at UFC 106 and walked away with a win under their belt.

Sadollah went the distance with another great fighter who trains here at Xtreme Couture – Phil Baroni.  In the fight world when you have so many top MMA fighters that train under one roof  it’s only a matter of time before they may have to square off against their own training partner.

The Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz fight was a split decision which I’m sure we’ll see these two warriors in the octagon for a #3.
